October 13, 2021
I'm sure some of you have been trying to get to our Facebook page in recent days, only to find that it is no longer there! We had the same surprise you did yesterday when we logged into our account, only to find that Facebook had removed our page with no warning, or notice that it was going to happen. We have reached out to them to get the problem fixed, and we hope that it is resolved quickly but since it is out of our control, we have implemented this page for you to keep up with all the things going on with your local! You should also be receiving your Local 322 newsletter in the mail in the coming days if you haven't received it already which will give you a good idea of what we've been up to this year.
While we understand that this could not have happened at a worse time, with our election going on and trying to encourage all of you to vote and provide up-to-date information on what to do if you didn't receive your ballot to vote, etc. We aren't going to let this discourage us from getting you the information you need to stay involved though!
If you have not received your ballot as of 10/12/2021, please call us at (804)321-0356 and we will assist you with getting a new ballot mailed out to you. Ballots must be returned no later than November 15th, which is when vote counting will commence.
We also have our monthly general membership meeting coming up this weekend on October 16th at 11:00 a.m. at the union hall. Please try to attend if you're available. If you're unable to, we are going to start posting the meeting minutes under the meeting minutes tab after the minutes have been finalized so that you can stay involved. There is also a shop steward training taking place immediately following the general membership meeting.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this temporary hardship has caused, but please know that we are working diligently to get this issue resolved with Facebook and hope to be back providing you information there as soon as possible.
Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions and we appreciate your patience during this time.
